Marauder Job Idea
Hi, I'm new to the forum. This is my first post. Hoping this hasn't been posted too much in the past. I looked but couldn't find anything right off the bat. So I was thinking it would be fun to have Marauder split into two jobs, much like Arcanist splits into either a DPS or Healer role. I am not much into tanking, but would love to have a DPS class running around swinging a giant axe or sword at bad guys. I mentioned this to a bunch of my FC friends and they all agree this would be a cool thing to have!

It's unlikely this will happen. The Summoner/Scholar split on Arcanist was an expiriment and I don't think SE will continue forward with it. With Heavensward, they dropped base classes altogether and went directly to jobs - Machinist, Astrologian and Dark Knight.
SE has a tendency to abandon ideas that they implement and leave them around as relics of older game play systems:
-Cross class is severely limited, no real choice
-Bonus stats, again no real choice here just add your main stat
-Jobs split off of base class: classes were completely bypassed in Heavensward
etc etc etc
