Movement Problem: DualShock 4 on PC vs. PS4?
I understand this is a very niche problem, so hopefully others know what I'm talking about! I recently switched to playing on PC from having played on PS4 for over a year. I'm using a DualShock 4 on PC with the DS4Windows wrapper, but I've noticed a subtle difference between playing on PS4 and PC.
Specifically, on PS4, it's easy to run forward in a straight line. If you push the left stick directly forward, or even slightly off-forward, you'll run perfectly straight. When you do, moving the right stick turns your character left and right. However, if you deviate and run at a diagonal angle or in any other direction but straight forward, the right stick simply rotates the camera.
There are two differences on PC. First, it's very difficult to run in a straight line--my character either runs slight left, or slightly right, zig-zagging slightly between them. Also, perhaps because running straight is so difficult, the right stick never turns my character, only the viewing angle. I really like the PS4's method of "right stick turns character while you're running straight," but "right stick turns camera in any other circumstance."
Am I crazy? Is there something here that I can emulate on PC? A setting I missed? On PS4, I play Legacy mode, but on PC, the same Legacy mode just feels a little different, and not in a good way.
