A hero system
I know everybody is familiar with Final Fantasy 13-2 about the arbiter of time on Final Fantasy 13 2 you compete to win your favorite hero to fight beside you implement something like that on the MOG station to where we could pay to have our favorite Final Fantasy hero of any of the Final Fantasy series like Cloud, Lightning, Rydia to fill specific roles in a party because everybody can agree with me when they have a bad tank or a bad DPS they wish they could hire a computer control person to help them it would be interesting to see the heroes of the other Final Fantasy games making an appearance but it would also bring more profit to Square Enix itself because I for one would pay a lot of money to have my favorite heroes with me
-
You mean, like, pay to win? No thank you. Keep that away. They did mention that they will be implementing some sort of system that allows you to use Grand Company NPCs in dungeons and such but as for when that will be implemented we are unsure. I'd rather that player be given insight and direction on how to properly play their role than replaced with a bot.
-
I completely understand your point but also not only would it help the people who do not feel like sitting and duty finders all day long because they can't stand tanking it would also bring more profit to the makers of Final Fantasy bringing more income so they can bring in more stuff to the game, yes it does give people an extra edge allowing the hero system ,make it to where they don't get experience points they just get the credit for completing the dungeon are there raid make it where there's a little penalties using it but the option is there like the same penalties when you solo unsynchronized
-
You see there's a lot of people who play Final Fantasy 14 because they're diehard fans of Final Fantasy who just want to be able to complete the game and do not want to worry about the duties are the dungeons being abandoned due to bad tanks bad healers and so forth this would cater to everybody's needs allowing the option to where if they don't want to play with other people they can simply pay for their heroes and do the quest and increasing the profit for Square Enix
-
Here is a perfect example yesterday I was running Alexander Savage there was an experience tank which he was a kid and everyone cussed him out left and right and then they abandon the duty at the last boss because they rage quit no number one nobody should be cussing out a kid number 2 the hero system would reduce that and also that kid would be able to enjoy his game because he would be able to have bots helping him because no one was willing to teach him

SE have stated in the past they're actually planning on implementing a system where the player leads party of npc Grand Company soldiers to assist the player in dungeons/duties... but... having it consist of characters from past FF games, who have absolutely zero reason to even be in this game? No. Just, no.
Fanservice is one thing, but a line has to be drawn somewhere when there is too much of a good thing. FFXIV needs to start being it's own unique world and story and not just have fanservice fluff chucked into it whilly nilly.

I see your point but did not lightning already make an appearance in this game yes she did I have the achievement for it but not only did lightning make an appearance but so did Ironha from Final Fantasy 11 now me personally I would pay lots of money to have my favorite heroes working for me
-
Matter of fact the boss from anti tower is the exact boss you fight in Final Fantasy 4 when you get Rydia back in your party Dragon's neck bosses Ultros and typhoon Final Fantasy 6 I could keep going pointing out how many references to the other Final Fantasy games are so what would be the harm of bringing in past heroes that you can hire to help you but like I said in my very first statement it would be optional to buy in the mog station
-
No, just no. There is ZERO reason to shove NPCs into the Mogstation as replacements for "bad DF healer/tank/dps". On top of that, if you have a problem with DF, then make a premade party with Party Finder, that is why it's there.
- Like others said they are eventually implementing a system to assist players. That are a part of the XIV universe.
- There is NO reason an NPC should be in raids, period. And if it's DF raiding, you are bound to get toxic people. You don't pay their sub. They don't pay yours. Screenshot and report if it's harassment.
- Lightning and Iroha are events. They are not canon to the Eorzea Story. They are there simply for fanservice reasons for the players to enjoy and to get neat glamour / minions as a vanity statement.
- Calcabrina and any other boss/mob in dungeons are fanservice, that SE has given us to be excited about. The same goes for the likes of Krile and other canon npcs in the universe, fanservice. There is too much of it already.

So you want to pay to get around being social in a MMO?
Here's an idea: Use that money to pay for an offline game.
