Bard Victory Pose and Warm up

Dear Squareteam.

As a first hour bard player, I endured many pains through the years. You made almost every bard specific set look like a clown, butchered the playstyle of the class and degraded us to supporters, whose role (by definition) doesn't even exist.

I endured it all, but seriously, are you kidding me with those emotes? They look stupid as hell!!! Other classes get cool poses with jumps, and stuff. And we get a....dance? I mean, okay, we're bards, but still...even there you could have gotten us something more fitting for an archer...

Why can't we bards have nice things?

at least they changed the casting animations "insert its-something meme" :P

Some of us like the look of the job. The game started with bards looking the way it currently is. If anything the bard outfits are better then the real clown outfits which exsist for most all other jobs. Plus being a colorful entertainer is what a bard is suppose to be.

Its an emote, nothing game breaking. They may change it if enough people complain about it, like WM.

Then again, its an emote, nothing game breaking. They may never change it no matter how many people complain about it...

I've yet to see the emote in question, but with the picture in the patch notes I already knew what to expect.

Besides the name of thee class is Bard not Ranger.

I actually like the new emote, granted, the little dance took some getting used to but it captures the light-hearted theme of the job. One thing we're forgetting is that, even when HW brought quite a weaponskills like Sidewinder (an ability from Ranger), Empyreal Arrow and the godsend that is Iron Jaws, HW also returned the bard to its FF roots: Gandiva is a huge harp and what did FF Bards use? Harps.

But most people don't want a Bard, they want a Ranger and maybe one day we'll get it (probably not, really) but until then, we have a Bard, a Bard that can use bows and some Ranger skills but a Bard at the end of the day, and I know it stopped being so for many people but, at least for me, it's more FUN to play now.

Have you read the story of the lvl 30 BRD when you unlock it? Its funny because in the story, archers also hate the idea of singing :v

You are a BARD. You know, the type of guy who goes around singing? The emotes perfectly fit that idea.
