Equip help

Hi all, i need an help and useful infos from you about the way to go for me .
I've all 150 pieces unmelded now...so my next steps can be:
- overmeld to reach 170ilv min stats
- get 180 BSM MH red scrip
- craft OH BSM 170 and BSM set 170
- craft all OH/MH set
- choose second job set

can be a valid progress?
any helpful hint?

It depends on how much gil you want to spend on overmelds. If you want to save a lot of money, you can grab the ilvl 180 mainhand and offhand. They are huge upgrades.

Without ANY melds, you will already be at 755 Crafts and 668 Control. Invest in Control and CP +4 materia and put them in the secure slots. You will reach two star stats easily. If you're a specialist, it is even easier (Bonus +20/+20 Crafts/Control).

Then, craft your ilvl 170 accessories and the belt --> fully meld them. Next step would be getting to three star. I assume you will have to upgrade at least your body armour. But again, you can either craft the ilvl 170 and meld it or get the ilvl 180 equivalent. (The 170 body fully melded (without materia Vs) is a bit stronger than the 180 body.)

So, I have played around with Ariyala's Tool. You will get to 851 Crafts, 810 Control and 414 CP with the above suggestion (and the specialist crystal).

The missing 10 Control can be bridged with Food, FC Buff or new upgrades.

I've 12 mil on my hands and i've already several CON+4 and CP+4 from crafter quest and 50red scrip.
Haven't choose any specialist atm....think to go with BSM, GSM and (dunno).

so take 180 MH and OH then? meld my 150 with all my CON/CP materia and start the way to 170?

If you have enough time, yes. But keep in mind that the mainhand alone takes 3 weeks of red Scrips. I assume the offhand will require the same amount.
If you don't have the time, you will have to meld your way up. :/

26x2 = 52
I've 50 red so next week i can buy both :)

That's great! :D One last word: you will "lose" 4 CP each because you can't meld CP to the 180 main and offhand. BUT the best rotation (in my opinion) is Rath's Rotation which only needs 437 CP. Add 18 CP for a free touch and you're at 455 CP needed. This value can be achieved without melding CP into the main and offhand. :)

ok so ..let's start the way to became a billionaire :D

I still stand by the fact that if you can craft your own tool
Taking the i180 crap is waste of everything -,-

And the tool are really easy to craft with à simple overmeld

i choose this way because i've already 50 red script so wait 2 day for a MH and OH it's not a problem
then i can easily focus on other 170 equip with less materia investiment.
