Shadow Cascading Bug when Flying and being on the Ground

Recently I just noticed that when I'm on the ground the Shadow distance start fading away, meanwhile as soon I just start flying at least 1 meter away from the ground the shadows on the entire maps starts appearing.

I don't know if this is intended but there should be a graphic option to set the shadows cascading to MAX so they appear properly like when I'm flying.
