... well, III DS (and on) ver., at least, since that's where Aria gained a unique character design (Amano's artwork of her is essentially nude, and her sprites wear a green / burgundy dress).

They're both blonde with long hair and a white sundress? That's all I see and that's a very common look.

You could just as easily say Shinobu Oshino, for a random example, looks like them.

There aren't really enough similarities other than the colour of their hair and the hue of their dresses - both of which aren't really distinct features.

They just have the same hair color and a white dress on. Their hairstyles and faces look very different to me.

Yeah, they just share the same Blonde and white gown, but otherwise not really.

Same could besaid regarding Disidia's Cosmos or Kingdom Heart's Namine

I'm still a little baffled that they went with this look in the first place. Aside from Thancred's pirate patch, the new scion looks have been pretty slick. They're getting a nice overhaul and don't look so rag tag anymore ... and then we get Minfilia ...

I'm sure there's a story explanation that will explain her appearance, but her outfit is fairly ... bland. The white layered dress and the hair tassels make me think that she's spent too much time on vacation. She's one corset shy of fitting in at a Swiss beerfest. I'm waiting for her to roll up with a Saint Bernard and offer me a drink. If Minfilia is going to continue to have a lasting presence in the game, then I'm hoping Tataru gets her little hands on her and fixes her with some new digs. I had enough trouble taking her seriously before she looked like a flower child.

Blond hair, white dress, and the bangs sweeping to the right ((Hers)). But since Aria's bangs sweep down across her eyebrows and Minfillia's sweep over across her hairline before dropping, I'm going to go with coincidence.

There's only so many ways to render a blond caucasian woman in a white dress honestly. Lol

It really is likly just coincidence.
