Depending on how much, this, could actually help address the original goal. Make Specialists able to compete on a more even footing with Omni crafters.
Unfortunately, no word on limiting, removal of specialist only recipes.

Real help will just go to someone who has Alt's. Every action with crafting they have taken has just slowly guided the top end to more extremes.

Sure it helps the people that just have ALC and CUL for their raiding, but other then that type this system is flawed, and gets worse each patch.

And nothing positive looking for tV DoH/DoL materia. Durant look like it's added to diadem spoils, ( in spite of the half cost DoM/W ones). Maybe if we're lucky via the mhachi weekly, but I doubt it.

Everytime i see someone write (blue/red) scripts i makes my skin crawl.

We get scrips , we dont get scripts. There is no T!

It should be even better, if I understand the prel patch notes right, we can change the context menu to suit our needs. At least this is how i interpret the folowing picture from the prel patch notes.

It also helps lessen the need for excessive overmelding to reach certain caps or makes new caps accessible to those who have overmelded. Things have only been getting better for non-Omni-Crafters. If you don't agree, try Crafting any of level 60 Recipes with no Specialist and no cross-classes.

The only thing this really does for a high-end Crafter is to reduce the amount of materia they need to meld (If they haven't already). Trust me when I say at higher levels a small boost to anything besides CP only has a small chance to change anything in a rotation, and even then it would likely only add 2-4% Quality.

Anyone can become a "top-end" Crafter because there is absolutely NOTHING they can do that will stop a dedicated Crafter from making gil.
