Unable to Check Version FIX!!

If you are one of many people having issues signing in on the PC version and getting the Version Check error. Check this post out. It fixed my issues immediately and took little to no time at all.

Open with blocknote :
FFXIV_BOOT.cfg file ( I just used Notepad)

You will have these lines or something similar :
<FINAL FANTASY XIV Boot Config File>

<Version>
Version 2
Language 1
Region 2
EulaAgreement 1
StartupCompleted 1
B4EulaAgreement 0
BootVersionCheckMode 0
ConfigReset 0

Modify and save it as follow :
<FINAL FANTASY XIV Boot Config File>

<Version>
Version 2
Language 1
Region 2
EulaAgreement 1
StartupCompleted 1
B4EulaAgreement 1
BootVersionCheckMode 1
ConfigReset 0

Save the file, close any FFXIV application and try again. It should download the patch after you enter your password.
