Tank role: Judge/Judgemaster

How would you guys feel about a Judge as a tank? I think it could be a job from the garleans.

Maybe it could focus on lowering different types of resistances Blunt/Pierce ETC

Its cool downs could be like Slash/Pierce/Blunt resistance increased by 20%. That way it would require you to perceive what type of mob you are fighting and what cooldowns would be effective.

Being a garleans job and what not it wouldn't have access to magic though so it would be the Physical Resistance/Debuff Tank.

But I'm just spitballing ideas, let me know what you guys think.

Would like to see gunblade as the weapon I do miss the break skills from past ff so that would be koo

I hate to be a Debbie-downer here, but it will never happen - because 'Judge' is actually what SE's Game Masters (GMs) are. Their unique equipment (which only GMs can gain and equip) is even literally called 'Judge gear' and cannot be gained or equipped by players.

Between that and the fact that Garlean military officers are called 'Legatus' (which essentially is the same thing as FFTAs/FFXII's Judges), I can safely say you will never see Judge as a player class I'm sorry to say.

The equipment can easily be called anything else other than judge. For example lets take esoteric tank gear(aka AF2?):
PLD: Creed
WAR: Ravager
DRK: Chaos
JDG: Law or Justice.
I do understand the whole legatus thing as I had that in the back of my mind while writing this. I actually almost considered the tank role as legatus but isn't that like a birth right title? Anyways I totally understand that Judge would be a nightmare to implement lore wise....but that doesn't mean they can't do it.

While I think resistance based cds would be pretty useless given the tanking meta, the idea of not having to have a drg for the piercing debuff is pretty cool.

I feel this game needs a debuff tank, and I think that the cooldowns could work provided they make mechanics for it. We aren't getting any new jobs in 3.x so the meta is subject to change. Resistances page is pretty much useless now so I'm trying to think of ways for it to work.
