goring blade animation
So I just levelled my PLD to 54, and got Goring blade, and I was wondering :
is there any kind of sense to the splashing animation of the skill ? It kinda indicates a slash downwards (like, hitting the ground), but the animation of the second slash is upward, and it bugs me a lot.
Yeah I know, stupid question over stupid details, but what would we be without those little stupid questions every now and then ? :D

Splashing, I haven't noticed. What I have noticed is our characters slash horizontally, drag the blade against the ground as they ROUNDHOUSE their sword upwards and make something of a dorsal fin as the slash reaches its peak.
Personally, I find it pretty cool. But I haven't noticed any actual splash particles in either part of the animation, sorry.

I'm talking about the little circle effect on the ground ^^ I would totally understand if I'm the only one seeing something akin to smashing the ground in it though.
Either way the animation is really awesome, it's just that this little detail was bugging me while I was playing with my new skill :-)

I always thought it looked more like a shoryuken more then anything, since it looks to me like the "splash" starts from the ground and goes upwards.

It's an uppercut with a sword. You hit the enemy so hard that the area around them loses air pressure creating the swirl effect.
Plus style points.
