Land/Hand exp boost books adjustment

So while I was gathering it locked up during chop in which I was forced to d/c in order to do anything in game. Upon logging back in I realized that my gather xp boost which had two hours and 30 mins left on it was no longer on my character. Would it be possible to change it so that this doesn't happen? It is kind of a pain to spend 200 seals on an item and only make 1/6 use out of it. I'm not even asking to stop the timer upon logging out it wouldn't bother me if the timer kept going on if you logged out but it would be nice that if one happened to d/c or crash while having it active if they didn't lose out on the rest of the time for it.
