Dev Request: Dyable Company Shield

I made a sweet glamour with the company set and yet the shield doesn't dye? I want to dye it blue to match the awoken paladin relic, but it only stays white.

So, dyable shield please? I will love you forever.

You could always just go back to the Calamity Salvager and buy the original Holy Shield which has a silver metallic colour instead of the atma version (it's what I did for my PLD glamour). But yeah, weapons and armour cannot be dyed - I could speculate on why that is the case, but I won't, other than SE probably has their reasons for doing so.

I figured I might as well ask and let them know someone wants it anyway. I love the company set to death, if only the shield was dyable it would be perfect.

Oh, doh! I'm sorry, I thought you were referring to the PLD relic shield and not a company shield. I'm sorry, don't mind me! :p

But yeah, shields cannot be dyed sadly. Although there is no harm in asking SE if they can do so, so don't let me discourage you for requesting it! :)

Some shields can be dyed though. The Asuran (ilvl 180 Law tomes) shield and the Gordian shield (A4S) can be dyed apparently. I wonder why the company shield can't be, when the rest of the set is so easily dyed.

Shields count as weapon and therefor are only dyeable if also the sword of the same set is dyeable. And GC swords are not dyeable.

I don't think the Company Hat/Tabard/Shield has any weapons associated with them at all.

(GC gear is different from just "Company" gear. The former is from Allied seals, the latter is from Airship voyage materials.)

Yes, I meant the shield from the Company Set made from dusk leather, not the stuff you get from company seal turn-ins. The Company Hat and the Company Tabard are dyable, but the Company Shield is not dyable, and stays default white, which is kind of annoying considering the rest of the set dyes. If the shield dyed it would be perfect and I would have my pally glamour for the end of time.
