allow us to use our free company airships to travel to the diadem even if they are out on a voyage/mission.

How would they be able to be in two spaces at once, then?

It wouldn't really make in universe sense, but you CAN call your retainers while they're out on ventures, so it would make gameplay sense.

Your retainer is a sentient being able to multitask.
The airship isn't. It's driven by a questionably assembled mammet.

it should so i can use it to gather in diadem and not have to do the whole thing at ishgard and pf

Well I wanna know what jerk nozzle would leave a puppy minion in a storage facilty, and a fat cat. >:/

Its supposed to be a trade off. That's the point. You either send your airship out for a prolonged journey to collect goods for you or you keep it so you have the convenience of using it to access the Diadem.

Just keep one airship at port. You can still have 3 airships out collecting loot for you.
