QOL Request. Please stop kicking me out of my house.

Sometimes I like to just relax in my little house while I queue for content but it bugs me slightly that it always boots me out to the garden when I come back out of an instance.

I know its a minor thing to complain about but still... With the music item coming in 3.2 I may spend even more time relaxing at home so it would be wonderful if the game wasn't always throwing me out of my own home.

It would also be good if I didn't have to recall my minions sometimes after an instance or better yet If I could take them inside with me.

Please?

I suspect the reason for this is something technical, since Houses are instanced to some degree. There are also theoretical situations, at least with houses you don't control the demolition of, where the house you're sitting in could no longer exist when you get out of your DF content.

That being said, I'm not sure that's the reason—I'm assuming. I just about always log out in my Personal House and I would actually love to be able to log back into being inside as well, so if they can get around the technical issues with it, I'd love for this to be implemented.

it is a technical reason. back in 2.1 when housing was released they did not kicked you out of the house, they changed it later. but not sure why exactly they changed it xD

ah, found it... they changed it in patch 2.2 because

"This adjustment will improve the management of housing, and faciliate the addition of plots and estate halls."

Ah, that actually makes sense. I have to assume that if no one's inside a house, the game keeps the information on the Housing server filed away so it's taking less resources. Thus, if you hop onto the DF server, it probably "closes" the house's file, so to speak, which allows for more space on the Housing Server overall.

Yeah they pretty much got rid of that feature because people would log in & be stuck inside furniture/partitions from FC mates redecorating while they were gone.

But since now we can move through objects after walking into them for a bit, I would love for them to re-implement that feature of staying logged out in your house.
Especially since we 're gonna be getting new sleep animations with /doze, idk about you guys but I like to log out in bed and it would be nice to actually wake up in bed instead of apparently sleep walking out into my front yard everyday -_-;

I usually log out by using /doze on my bed one day hoping that they will re-implement dreams and under-the-bed prizes. I always wake up the next day in my yard. My head cannon is that my character is a terrible sleep walker. I wish they would find a work around to remove the booting. Because of it, no one ever bothers to use our FC house since it's a pain to keep entering it over and over again. Despite spending millions upon millions of gil for the purchase and furnishing of it, everyone still just roams the streets like hobos and it's extremely disappointing for all of us.

The technical limitations excuse strikes me as bizarre when you can log in and out of your inn room as many times as you want and never be kicked out into the common room...I feel like a lot of these 'X limitations' excuses are just SE either being lazy, or not having the time to deal with the issue and not being willing to admit it.

Me I would love to have ff11 mog house/room instead to fix up

now imagine if Return and Teleport are not easily accessible like FF11 .. the horror of being trapped in the closet...

I'd like this, I would also like it if we could log out on bed items just like we do on our inn bed, but that may be too difficult to code.
