Concern for Frontline queues once The Feast is released

As has been discussed in numerous other threads about the state of PvP frontlines queues, and how these vary from data center to data centre. As a Primal centre Mael myself, I often end up quitting queues in frustration watching others get back to back matches and my still sitting in the queue

I do, however, have a serious concern as to how FL queues will be affected once the feast is released, especially with it having proper leaderboards and prize incentives. I mean, its next to impossible to get matches in secure or slaughter these days since seal rock came out.... what's to say that seal rock wont become the newest victim of neglect as players can openly play with friends regardless of GC alliegience.

I would like to know if SE has any intentions of taking pro-active steps to keep these content modes alive or are happy to let them die off when everyone finally gets sick of dealing with bad queues (being locked into GCs) rather than being able to play with whoever they want.

Its definitely gonna kill frontline queues. I'll likely stop queuing for it myself since the maelstrom queue is so bad and they seem to have no intention of letting go of the GC tie in for it. At least in feast I wont have to deal with that bs anymore. Only way frontlines doesnt die off is if feast ends up being lame (which is still possible given some of the gimmicks I read it will have) or if they increase the pool of players to take part in frontlines via elimination of GC restriction or merging of data centers for pvp or both.

queues were alot better b4 the data centres were added tho.. i understand why they were but would be great if there was a way to fl with other data centres :P

Primal Maelstrom has queues so long that it's normally not possible to get a game within the few hours I get to play. =(

I feel ya. Was like that when I was in flames. Switched to mael on Aether and never looked back. Cut my queues by more than half. Much more actually. On the weekends I can seal rock all day with 10 min queues. I can even get into games at 12 or 1 am pst whereas queues became hour long or much more on flames after 9pm.

Feast is cool, but nothing beats large groups of people beating on each other. Front lines will always be my favorite pvp type. I hope they continue to support it with rewards and fixes.

Yeah they should really add lvl 60 versions of secure and slaughter. Would be nice to get some variety in front lines.

Things like supply boxes and culling time killed my slight intrest i had for this before, solo-ranked is pointless as you are at mercy of RNG when it comes to party members(also you cant carry due that culling bs)and none from my static are interested in pvp either so there goes pre-made option aswell(no point doing ranked w/o TS imo). So i will mostlikely stick with FL unless ques gets horrible then i might just stop pvp alltogether, as im not keen to see those que times i had back when secure was a thing.

Solo queue is going to feel like Super Smash Bros. FFA with all the items on High. Gotta love those elusive Bomb-ombs.

If it ends up being that gimmicky I'll probably quit PVP'ing as well. I'm getting sick of the hr long frontline queues already and they seem to have no intention of fixing problems on previous installations of PVP whenever they introduce new versions. Wolves den is cool and challenging when you can actually play it but the queues for that are long as well for such a short encounter so I won't bother with that either.
