Question for console player (PS4) wanting to upgrade ARR Standard to CE

As you may know, PSN is having Square Enix 50% off sale.
ARR Standard is listed at $10 and ARR CE is listed at $20.

I bought ARR Standard 2 years ago during Playstation's PSN holiday sale for $9.99, it's digital.

I was wondering, if I purchase the ARR CE right now from PSN store.. do I get an extra 30 days and how do I apply the CE to the game to get the CE items?
I already have heavensward CE installed on PS4, do I have to delete HW CE and download the ARR CE then re-download HW CE?

The CE will automatically apply to your account, so you can get those items. I'm not sure about the 30 days but I think those are only for new accounts. Honestly, though, I can't really say for certain but being that the CE on PSN is $20 you can always just log into the Mog Station and do the digital upgrade to the ARR CE directly there and it's the same price.

If you already have the standard copy, I wouldn't suggest buying the full CE copy, you're supposed to upgrade via mogstation. 30 days of free time is for new service accounts anyway, I believe.

Edit: I just looked it up, you can only get the game time once per new service platform. So if you get the CE (the full copy) for the PC and attach it to your account you will get the 30 days. Otherwise, you're only upgrading to the CE on your PS4.

Thank you. I don't have creditcard/paypal to buy upgrades from MogStation. if I buy the CE full version (not upgrade) from PSN store, do I still get the CE items? Or does it really have to be an "upgrade" from mogstation?

From what I've read, it seems if you buy the full copy (Standard + CE) you will be required to create a new account. I could be wrong on this, as I'm taking this info on things I've read online. If there's just an Add-on option in the PSN store then it should work, though, but before you buy the full game I would call SE support first so you don't end up wasting money. Sorry for not being much help

i'm not sure if you can even register the CE version on your PS4 account, because you already have the game for the PS4.
Best would be to buy the CE for PC and register it to your account. You don't need a PC to register it, just internet access.

Sorry, but you can't use the CE version of the game if you already the base game on the same platform, it's for new service accounts only or for service accounts that don't yet have that platform (i.e. they have PC, but not PS4).

So if you have it for PS4, buying CE version also on PS4 will only work for creating a new service account (new characters, new subscription). The code can't be used to upgrade an existing account.

To upgrade you have either two options:

A) Do the digital upgrade via the Mogstation
B) Buy the collectors version on another platform (i.e. PC)

Buying on another platform will not only allow you to login on that (non HW areas unless you also buy that too), but will give you the CE items as well as 30 days free (because each new platform added adds 30 days).

Thank you for all the answers, I was about to purchase. Luckily, I didn't :)
I don't have a creditcard/PayPal so I cannot buy anything from MogStation. I had some crysta left when SE allowed pre-paid cards, but they dont accept those anymore so I've been paying sub with timecards until they fix it.
