Hey all,
Still a newbie to the game but enjoying it. I have a level 43 Black Mage but noticed that the black mage has abilities that unlock at every level of '5' e.g 30-35-40-35 etc.
I still only have the first Black Mage Job ability (lvl 30) 'Convert' but know that 'Freeze' should of unlocked at 35 etc but none others have unlocked. I went back to the Thaumaturge guild to see if there was a new quest to undertake but there are non.
How do I unlock the other black mage abilities?

The Black Mage job quests start in Eastern Thanalan 27, 21 or somewhere close by.
If you already have the job and the first job ability, you'll actually be taking your ability quests at a different place. IIRC you'll be going to the other part of Uldah (the name escapes me) and speaking with the person you met when you got your soulstone.

Go back to the guy who you were talking to at the end of your level 30 Job quest, and then undertake the 35 and the 40 Job quests! Be sure to go back to him for the 45 and 50 Job quests. Bear in mind, too, that there will be a couple of level 50 Job Quests - one giving an action, the next one taking you into Heavensward.
