Hello, and thank you for clicking the link to this thread! I am very excited for Final Fantasy XIV 2.0, and I have read most, if not all, details on it. From all this information, only one question comes to mind for me, and nothing I have read so far answers that question, which is why I created this thread.
As every Final Fantasy XIV player knows, the game is very demanding of our computers. Even a computer that passes the recommended requirements can experience a very high amount of stress from the game. Click the link below for details:

The new graphics engine announced on the 14th of October is said to be more stable and customizable than the current engine. If this is true, we need this engine sooner than later for the health of our computers. So, here is my concern: Will we see this graphics engine somewhere down the road to 2.0, or will we not see it until 2.0 is released?

The new engine is designed for new FFXIV, it will not work with the current FFXIV and none of the graphics would display properly

We can't rush them so no sooner than better is not a good option.
They need to take their time this time and make sure the engine is working optimally before releasing it to the public. -
