Simple fixes for Astrologian

I think Astrologian is nearly perfect and that 3 small tweaks would balance it better to be on healing and aggro par without being overpowered. 1) Celestial opposition adds lowers enmity to enemies it hits like blinding them from the big flash. 2) Nocturnal sect causes time dilation to double the shield of its target as a bonus. Before you say this is op keep in mind that a sch can spread a critical heal to everyone and can potentially critical with any shield. Though an astrologian double shield would be guaranteed it still is a cool down that you have to watch or save. 3) The instant benefic 2 bonus becomes instantly ready at the time of proc. Otherwise you are just moving the cast time to somewhere else and isn't that big of benefit considering astrologian should be speed heals. Don't think this is op because of the mp sucker it can cause. On that note I think astrologian is fine for mp. Heal first buff 2nd ;) be greedy and save ewer for yourself once in a while. You deserve it

Celestrial oppostion , instead of stun + extend buffs by 5 sec, why not allow it to spread buffs currently on targets who are hit by it?

Like if i throw aspect benefic on tank in diurnal or nocturnal and press celestrial oppostion it will spread my aspected benefic to all nearby players same can be done with our dots to spread to near by enemies and it wont be op because it have a long cooldown

Another thing i thought about is time dialation and nocturnal sect... With this i do not know what they can do.... They could have it make our shield stronger then combine with celestrial oppostion (new) to make our mitigation strong? Would make up for not having a fairy ....

But nocturnal sect needs a good looking into and how a N.AST can replace a SCH in raids so far SCH is none replacible which is an issue

This would probably be considered OP despite Celestial Opposition's cooldown. If it spreads all of our buffs to the nearby party members within range, there may be some issues that arise. Aside from the whole "get all three of our regens on everyone at once", it would have to choose which person to take the buffs from. Say you draw Balance, put it on spread, then wait for the next draw and get Bole. You put Bal on the DRG and Bole on the tank. You hit CO, which does it spread? Or if you give a DPS an extended Balance and CO it to everyone, that would be pretty OP (expanded balance is 5% for 30 seconds or so, giving extended 10% damage buff for 60 seconds to 8 party members would be pretty huge).

On top of that time dialation doubles all of our buffs time limits. So if you synastry the tank, get all your regens (aspect benefic, aspect helios, collective unconsciousness) on the tank, plus an extended balance-> time dialate -> celestial opposition that would be super OP I think lol. (30ish second aspect benefic, same for unconsciousness, minute aspect helios regen, 2 minute extended balance for 10% boost).

They basically tried their best not to let SCHs stack crit to avoid this OPness, they're not going to then allow AST to have such mitigation freely. I agree Noct. AST could do with a little something, maybe, but abilities that can render mechanics useless are not the way. At least with SCH crits you always have the argument that it's down to luck/rng.

This is true. I think it would be more reasonable as a 1.5 multiplier instead of 2. Cause I use all my hots including CO then dialate and that's boss but in Nocturnal put up a shield. Enemy pokes tank *boop* and there goes your extra time to dps lol

Time dialations adds 15 secs to buffs it does not make ur buffs last 2x as long, u can only get a 1min 15 sec balance and thats going through a lot of RNG just to get balance in the first place..... Where SCH can use selene 3% attack speed for a single press of a button and it last 30sec with a 60sec cooldown, also sch so they can keep it up for 1/2 of a fight easy where we have to go through a lot of cards.... As and ast i gone through an entire fight just drawing bole/spire/ewer/spear... With no arrow or balance cards for the entire fight

Also there is a simple fix to that.... Just have it like smn bane... It copys all but summoner miasma 2 does not have the same duration on the other targets like it does on its main target. (Dont believe me do miasma 2 on ur target use contagion and use bane u will see all other mobs will be miasma 2 normal time whilst ur main target is doubled)

Same thing can be done with celestial opposion

The way it is now, CO doesn't have a target, so it works on everything it it's radius and is centered around the caster. The way you're suggesting, you'd have to target a party member to spread the buffs from him. It would be easy for SE to make it. :)

IMO, It would be awesome, but I also think it would be too Overpowered...

Astrologian is ALREADY on par with the other two healers. And where it is not is because of the different abilities each role brings. Buff astro and its raw healing and or synergy will have to be nerfed.
