Monk AOE DPS Questions
So I hear Monks have a fairly strong AOE rotation, so i'm asking the community for some advice.
Specifically in A2(S), there are a lot of mobs to deal with, and some strong AOE damage can burn them down pretty quick. Right now my AOE opener consists as such:
:
form shift to Coeurl, Rock Breaker > Perfect Balance > RB > B4B > RB spam.
Then I continue to use FoD > Twin/True > RB.
I think this works, but in A2 I run out of TP extremely fast. By the 3rd wave I'm already drained and Purification and Invigorate are gone.
Does anyone have any tips on a more efficient way of doing AOE damage as a Monk?

Ive never done a2s literally cus i drive the gobwalker but i do see whats going on. Id say you should take it easy with just adding RB to the end of your rotation. Youre going to need tp and running bone dry doesnt sound like the way to go much less a dps increase. Hell it could be better to save PB for when you wanna spread demo, idk. Or maybe some weave chakra into their rotations to use invigorate and purification on cooldown to aoe more i really cant say. But you also need to account for between waves when your tp can regen.
I dont really think rotation is your issue, just mess around and dont starve your tp.

Well it is theoretically impossible to do A2S without running out of TP it's a 9 min fight with no downtime. What I usually do is wait to AOE the mobs until the 2nd wave were I use RB after the hardmind arrives and then on the 3rd way I pop PB/IR/BfB and while using RB weave in purification/invig. Also AoE the wave after that and then go single target for 5th wave while begging the bard to sing. Also when you're out of TP put in 1-2 meditations in between each gcd to use purification. Even if you're going to look stupid having no TP the aoe damage is worth it in most cases. I finish the fight at around 1800 DPS with the bard singing paon once.
For a quick run down of were to AoE:
2nd wave, 3rd wave, 4th wave, 8th wave.
Single target the jagd dolls in 7th wave while demoing the two jagd dolls that are going to be killed first.

You are doing too many rockbreakers.
What you need to do is save rockbreakers until there are 4 or more monsters together. And you still wanna put up Demolish on the monsters that are expected to be up for the next ~20 seconds or so. Also, don't use Forbidden Chakra, Use Purification and make sure you charge up Chakras when you are unable to attack stuff.

I mainly do Rockbreaker spam at first Gobwalker spawn, then again for the phase after the 4 Jagd Dolls, and then PB Rockbreaker Spam+Pot on the last wave of adds. Use Invig on CD after dipping to like 550ish TP and instead use your chakra stacks on Purification over Forbidden Chakra. Im like 1900-2000 DPS and running dry on TP at the very end and we don't play TP song nor do we have Goad or else I'd use more Rockbreakers. Also we found out that pushing too fast makes it to where a Bomb comes out where last adds spawn and our Gobdriver isn't in position yet to to stun last set of soldiers so my DPS tends to dip and I lose GL3 because group wants to prevent early push.

P1 - get GL3; no AoE
P2 - combo into Rockbreaker; use Invigorate
P3 - PB>Rock; use Purification
(2 Meditations)
P4 - combo into Rockbreaker 3-4 times after gobwalker pulls in. Be careful with aim - gobs are small targets.
(3 Meditations)
P5 - typical single target rotation; TP may get tight here depending on kill speed. Use Invigorate as soon as it's up.
P6 - typical single target rotation; use Purification as soon as it's up. Accumulate 5 stacks of Meditation during this phase before the last target dies.
P7 - typical single target rotation; multi-DoT, but no AoE.
P8 - PB>Rock; use Invigorate as soon as it's up and Purification depending on kill speed.
(accumulate 5 stacks of Meditate if you used Purification previously)
P9 - combo into Rockbreaker for gobs, then multi-DoT remaining targets. Use Purification/TFC as needed.
I think that's how I do it.
