Mog Station does not support changing credit/debit card if card type hasn't changed.

Let me illustrate the problem with an example.

1. Customer has a MasterCard
2. Customer is issued a new MasterCard from bank.
3. Customer goes to enter new MasterCard number in MogStation through the Add/Change Subscriptions process.
4. Because their new card the same type as their old type (MasterCard) they have no reason to change the payment method from MasterCard to something else.
5. User is told "No changes have been made to your subscription or payment method."

Well, yes, because it's STILL a Master Card, but the card/number itself is different. This is an overzealous validation and it prevents me from updating my payment method.

Also, the also "Update Payment Method" area is confusing and possibly superfluous. This was the first thing I picked, as it was the most intuitive choice for someone coming to enter a new credit card number. However the only option it gave me was Crysta, presumably because I was already on a "credit card" of some type. However I could change to Crysta through the Add/Change subscription area so the whole thing seems clunky with user experience "dead ends".

Yeah the system does actually allow you to change your card details even if the actual card type is still the same and all that has changed is the expiry date and security number due to being issued a new card. Have you tried updating the card details not in the Mogstation but through the Square Enix Account Management System? That's where I update my card details as I use the same card to pay for both my FFXIV subscription and my FFXI subscription and I've never had any problems updating my card info there. Which is what I ended up doing, but it's silly that I couldn't do it through Mog Station when it presents options for updating payment information.

Keep encountering an error though when I try updating my info

Same problem here, I need to change my Visa but it doesn't let me change it :/ this is a total disaster.
