Question about noct shields and DRK

Hey guys I've got a very silly question. I tried to figure out by myself but I can't tell the difference really and I need guidance.

Intro:
I main WHM but I'm playing and loving AST a lot lately and find it even safer when I do dungeons with my bf who plays WAR. I normally am on nocturnal during pulls, and change to diurnal for bosses after reapplying shields.

The thing: I know to not spam holy when on WHM with a DRK who has Blood Price active. But on AST I'm unsure if the noct shield prevents Blood Price from working like the stun-ga from holy. I've watched the mp regen of DRKs with and without shield and I just can't tell :/
The skill's description clearly says "Restores MP when damage is taken". So the thing with stun is, it prevents monsters from hitting (obviously, cause they're stunned huh), whereas with noct shield they still hit but for 0.

I've now opted to not cast the shield when BP is active just in case because I really can't see any difference in MP regen but if someone please could enlighten my silly little brain, that'd be great ;)

No, it does not, regardless of whether damage is actually taken if a hit is landed on a DK with blood price up he'll get the MP returns

Thank you for knowing this, I always feel bad when I see a WHM do this right when the DRK tank presses that button to happily fill his MP to full, only to sit there and weep softly to himself as no one is hitting him, and his darkside falls off.

DRKs really should do a macro, like WARs and their berserk. Not that I like that macro, but at least on DRK it would be actually useful ;)

But isn't the healer supposed to be tracking the tank's buffs/debuffs as is? Seems strange that they'd notice a poison or Shadowskin, but not Blood Price.

Now to pray for a time where Esuna/ExDet/Leeches, if detecting nothing to remove, try again .5 seconds later, twice, so that it might actually work on Berserk-pacification with more than 3 seconds left.

That's why I don't go DRK to A2 normal anymore for farming tank creds and relic drops.

As soon as I pop Blood Price, the Gobwalker driver stuns everything. I cry every time...
