Secondary Stat Calculations/Conversions

Numbers... grumble, grumble...

I have been searching far and wide in how the secondary stats take into effect say, critical hit rate %, accuracy %, etc. and haven't really found too much. If you would happen to know anything, please let the world know! Forum and web searches didn't really reveal much... sadly. Hours of going to dead links. Am I the only one who thinks about this?!

So far, I've found:

.0697 x Crit - 18.437 = Crit %

(May be able to insert variable stats in place of crit, could be an old calculation method)
Since numbers have gotten bigger since Heavensward, I'm not sure to trust this. If it works, it works.

First post ever, so I hope this is in the right place. If this has been brought up before, I apologize! I hadn't found anything about it. Just... similar stuff pertaining to armor, etc. but not secondary stat calculations directly.

As for accuracy - each encounter has a certain accuracy cap that you need to 100% hit after that it's wasted.

By the accuracy cap, I should have said for end content like Thordan or something along those lines. Though with it being kinda new I'm not quite sure if anyone's figured anything out yet.

Tends to be discovered fast. And yeah meant for that hehe. You should be able to find the accuracy cap for most alex and thordan easily by now. Usually the reddit community has some helpful links.

You have no idea how wonderful seeing that website was after I looked so long on the web! It seems calculating things for BLM is a beast of its own as it's not on there... yet haha. New bookmark!

Just thought I'd pop in and give you links to the accuracy caps for 2.x content and the known ones for Alexander (Savage). Most of the time content that isn't the raids usually have negligible accuracy caps or they're so close to the raid caps that people will already have the accuracy for them.

It would be fancy if excess accuracy had some damage weight to it. Not as much as the current lowest weighed stat per class, but at least the vast excess of accuracy we tend to naturally run wouldn't feel so... wasted. Could argue that there would be 100% hit rate, and then the excess would be hitting a monsters weak points or whatever reason you need.

It does sound like a nice thought. Perhaps after a 100% hit rate, damage would increase by a certain percentage (definitely not a 1:1 ratio though lol)? It's tough to juggle in higher Det, SS, etc. while staying capped.
