PLEASE, give paladins more or something.

Buff our shield strength back to where it used to be before heavensward, make Divine veil also shield us as well or at least make our long cast time heal heal more then 3-4k. make 5k for ourselves and 6k for allies. Just..anything but make paladins something that people would stop looking down on paladins as the worse tank of the 3.

So Shield strength is better than before HW, i block 25-30% most of the times instead of ~20% before HW. Divine Veil works well in a group with good communication as it is now, perhaps a reduction of the recast timer per block, maybe. Clemency stacks with strength or attack power so it heals 5-6k if you are using a strength PLD.

PLD are the worst tank of the 3 but only cause of the damage focused meta we have at the moment. Look forward for 3.2 and hope for the "change in the damage calculation of tanks" and that PLDs utilities will be usefull in some way and the meta changes from insane dps checks to more mechanic checks.

Talking about how much amount blocked, not times blocked doe. Like before the more strength you stacked, the more amount you could block ;x

Block rate is more a function of the type of shield you use than anything. Some shields block more often than others.

Block strength used to scale with the Strength stat but no longer does.

You don't understand me i mean i block 25-30% of the damage i take if i block not how often, that would need something like a parser.

but i supose it's just cause i use mostly the high block strength shields.

And i supose the shields on PLD ar lackung cause they reserve the full shield mechanics for a Job with double shields or huge towering shield.

Well in 2.X is was dex that effect rate of shield block STR effect how much added % you would block and back in the day of early 2.X PLD's Shield blocked for about 20% back then.

For the current state of PLD I think he is fine, of course every job could use Tweak here and there but generally he dose his job fine. My issue is his ROH Aggro applier.
It's mainly just Alex Savage that puts PLD down but in Thordan he is better of the 3 tanks when it comes in terms of deffence.

So, I'm not gonna say you should come in here and post parse results, because of course, we shouldn't.

But on that note you also can't come in here then and try to pull off a factual statement that shield blocking is better now than it was, especially when you say "I don't parse".

Shields get stronger every ilvl increase and we can already block for 29% with a Thordan shield. Plus blocking is better overall now compared to in ARR because of Sheltron.

Divine Veil doesn't shield the PLD because it's not a mitigation cooldown. It's for raidwide aoe, and the PLD doesn't need the shield in that situation because they have higher HP, defense and magic defense, along with mitigation from Shield Oath. The only thing DV needs is a cooldown decrease to 90s to match Virus and Deployment Tactics.

Clemency already heals for 5.5k+ if you don't use VIT accessories.

Agreed. I'd love to see a lower CD on DV so that I could get more use out of it. As it is, I rarely get to use it because with the long CD I hate to risk it not being up when it's absolutely needed. It takes some of the bite out of a couple of the AoE's in Thordan EX (Ultimate End, and the Quagga/Heel/Quagga combo after KotR4), as well as one of the split hand slaps in A3S. The utility isn't the best since we have to be healed to activate it; I end up just using it at times when I know I'm going to be healed anyway.

I've critted for 9.3k with Clemency. I about fell out of my chair. I think it does need a cast time adjustment, though.
