Somersault and Instant cast heals

Monk's Somersault does nothing to instant-cast heals. In other words, Astrologist can still heal effectively even though they're slowed

Can we get a buff silence abilities to affect similar skills?

oGCD heals aren't spells. Silence would have to effect abilities too, which are most oGCDs even for physical jobs. AST only has one insta-heal as well which scales with target's HP. Think of that when you go to go silence them. WHM has Benediction/Assize/Tetra and SCH (Multiple)Lustrate/Indom/Fairy which is why silence is more effective on AST than WHM/SCH.

EDIT: Somersault doesn't silence, it reduces spell speed.

Seriously?? Well I've been using it wrong -_-

Either way, Somersault being useless vs. a specific class' primary heal is terrible. WHM/SCH have instant heals, yes, but they are all on CD. They can't spam cast it all day long like Astro can.

I don't see this changing, but it'd be great if it would effect instant spells in some way...

I'm assuming you are referring AST's Aspected Benefic which is a spell that is effected by both Somersault and silence. The insta-heal that we were talking about was Essential Dignity, which much like Benediction and Lustrate, is not effected by silence or somersault.

Spellspeed reduction still makes the GCD between Asp Bene shields longer, meaning that you can potentially have more time to hit the unshielded AST.

Essential Dignity, Tetra, Lustrate are abilities, which are stopped by Amnesia and not Silence.

(Amnesia is boss only)

Did not realize this. So if they are hit with a 50% spell slow, GCD's take 50% longer? I thought it only affected cast speed=)

Also gives you 6 seconds of pb so you can silence 3 times if needed

1 second silence, 2.1 sec GCD between silences. They'd still be casting AB every GCD =P.
