Map issues - at a loss now!!!

Hi all!!

Don't know if this is the right place to post this, but just not sure what to do now!

On the 10th May 2015 I posted about my main map not displaying, in the bug forum. This got moved to the 'accepted bugs' part, where it has remained ever since. About 4-6 weeks ago I also contacted the in game help - and have heard nothing back.

I can't see my main map at all, which as you can imagine, makes certain things (such as FATE grinding for one!) really frustrating!!!!!!

Does anybody know what I should do now? The wait for SE to do something seems totally unacceptable, since its been >6months now, and not being able to access the map is massively affecting me playing the game, which I pay for!

Any help/advice would be appreciated!!

Are you playing from disc or playing from an installed version of the game? You could try removing it and redownloading it to your playstation if it's the latter. There's no file integrity check system in place, so it's the only way to do this, I'm afraid.

I imagine you've already tried this but have you re-installed the client?

Have you reinstalled the entire game (it doesn't say so in either of our posts)? This is clearly caused by data corruption so you can't do anything else but reinstall. It sucks to redownload everything but unless you're on PC, you can't just replace the faulty DAT.

Thanks for the reply Canadane.... I re-installed the game, which didn't help. I then upgraded to HW, which didn't fix it, so uninstalled and re-installed again, which still didn't work :(

Have you tried turning it back on....
Does it show up in the HUD config.

Maybe it's moved OFF screen or turned off.

ON PC version I can right click on anything in hud config and then it's hidden.
Not sure how PSN version works but would think it's kind of the same.

SO /hud minimap show

Crystal rainbow - yeh myself and a friend who plays have both fiddled with the HUD, map transparency, everything... the map co-ordinates and toggles appear when I press square (albeit slightly off screen), but the map itself doesn't appear...... it makes me want to weep!!

You've been waiting so long for a fix to this, ugh.. That would be a nightmare to play without the map. I hope someone thinks of something you haven't tried yet

weird bug ....are u the only 1 with that issue? because if its a bug on SE end , there will more players with that problem....

did u try on another ps4? , how u manage to hit lvl 60 w/o map is beyond me , u for sure deserve a title or something!

I honestly hate to say this, but you may need to factory reset your console (get everything backed up first) to fix this issue. There was that issue months ago where the client would simply not show your ID/Password prompt when logging on, disallowing you from playing the game altogether, and the only solution was what I mentioned. :/
