Anyone else like to craft and confuse their DRK with their crafter?

This might take some explaining as to what I mean but:

I've always been a fan of crafting and ever since I took up playing Dark Knight more I keep making comparisons that are silly... but somehow seem to fit.

"Oh heck yea, I totally have enough CP/MP for (great strides)/(Dark Arts) for that next (Byregot's Blessing), I mean, (Soul Eater)."

"Hmm, things seem to be going well. I wonder if I can drop (Grit) and pop (comfort zone)/(Blood Weapon) for a bit."

"I seem to have enough CP/MP, let's just use that next (Good Condition)/(Carve and Spit) for (Precise Touch)/Damage and not MP/CP regen."

"Uh oh, this isn't going well, I'm gonna break this. I'd better hit (Reclaim)/(Living Dead) hope I don't smash all the mats. We all know how reclaim/Living Dead will randomly just have a synth fail when the odds were in favor of success... ; ;"

I gotta work on my finishing combo to HQ better on my drk though! I got my rotation down but sometimes I run out of CP/MP and fail to HQ.. >:x You know when you are looking at all those mobs but you just don't have the CP to get a combo off to HQ them?

Just remember DRK friends, HQ the heck outta those mobs. Ain't nobody got time for them NQ mobs.

Those were some just off top of head. If you guys like them I could probably think of more... Though I imagine they are all groan-worthy. But yea I enjoy both crafting and DRK. Anyone else drawn to both those things too?

That's putting it nicely. I know no one even the most special of people on my server and they do not think like this. Now if a crafter/gatherer could get enough CP/GP as a DRK can I'd be all happy about finally playing a class that has a reasonable resource stat if the costs stayed the same. But alas this game uses a ridiculous percentage based scaling that makes the casting cost of Fire 1 look hilarious.

I'm someone that likes math? :x Resource management is all about doing simple math....a lot.

It would be fun to craft on DRK though. Could smash something all dramatically in a big explosion when the craft doesn't go well. It would be like when I meld and break a ton of materia and people come up and /comfort me.

In a way, yes. Very much. Crafting and combat are essentially the same thing in this game. Since combat has literally no action to it, both are just a game of balancing meters, whether it's progress/quality or health/enmity. No action skill required, just balance those meters.


I guess the only difference is that crafting is more rewarding.
