I make it short:
Please make an option to hide it or change the design based on each gun.
At the moment, its absolutely ugly, makes no sense and ruins every style, especially with shorter or smaller guns : (

i had a thought about that not long ago
while i don't play mch on my own, I'm of the same opinion that gauss barrel really destroys the look of most guns
so why not use the secondary weapon slot (which is pointless on all jobs except pld in endgame anyway) as a glamour slot for the barrel
just give the mch players some unique designs including an invisible one
shouldn't be too hard to implement, even though the game counts the main weapon for both slots
Originally, Gauss-Barrel was suppose to change with the gun model but SE decided against it for some reason... :B

Luncbox / Gauss Barrel toggle or model change or riot ._.
Actually, that slide was more on the fact that they were scrapping the concept of having multiple attachments as a mechanic, not a different barrel model per gun (although they're not exclusive from each other). The end result honestly isn't all that much better, gauss barrel looks the same on all guns and looks silly, and the "attachment" novelty is all lost because they gave bard WM. IIRC, their reasoning was that it was too much work or something...which really doesn't make much sense in relation to what they did with gauss barrel (a single model attachment for all guns)
If you looked at the MCH previews they had initially showcased, their gimmick was that they'd revolve around multiple types of ammo, attachments and turrets, and it's a far cry from what we have now. I wouldn't have minded having the same attachment on all guns if the attachments themselves gave the job an identity of it's own rather than being a reskinned BRD.
