Bard Numbers
I was wondering if someone could rattle off some numbers of what a bard should be expected to do on :
AS 1
AS 2
and Practice Dummy.
A range would be fine too. I don't need the numbers for the best bard ever, more so what should be a reasonable expectation for someone in the i205 range with an i200 weapon.
Follow up.. is Machinist any better numbers on any of these? I.E. if a bard is having trouble, would switching to Machnist add anything in terms, or just add to the trouble with it's luck based system?

Best thing to do it just run searches on FFlogs. Don't use the leaderboard as that is simply each individual users best run, use the statistics as it sorts through all of the recent runs submitted. So let's use 60th percentile for A1 and A2.
A1: 1,077
http://www.fflogs.com/statistics/7#b...ard&dataset=60
A2: 1,474
http://www.fflogs.com/statistics/7#b...ard&dataset=60
Basically, those numbers mean that over the last 2 weeks tablulating all runs submitted to flogs, that DPS would put you at the 60th (50th is dead center, 60 is a tad better than average) percentile.
The MCH numbers would be 1,081 and 1423

I suppose my only reluctance in using that is how many people with low dps bards are publishing those numbers anyhow? I would think the data would be skewed towards the high end since groups with low DPS probably wouldn't publish? I think i remember seeing people putting partial parses up too, like a 3 minutes parse.. but I don't pretend to know the website very well.

Generally only 1 person submits the parse and it includes the data for the whole team. Is the data perfect? Definitely not. And in something like A1 the amount of jumps your team skips effects individual players dps, as each jump lowers dps by adding 20 seconds of nothingness.
With that being said - the links I posted include data from 1,060 parses. The volume is high enough, and 60th percentile conservative enough - that that number is a better answer to your question than anyone could provide you.
Also - you can put up a partial parse if you wanted to analyze what your team was doing - a lot of groups do this for progression to analyze what's happening. But for any of the rankings or statistics only runs that were cleared are used.
Also - I picked 60th percentile arbitrarily as I felt it would fit you needs and I tried to put myself in your shoes. But you don't like it? Run the search using the 30th percentile, or 50th? If 1,000 Bards beat A1 and look at their dps, where in there do you feel is a reasonable place to set as a personal target for yourself. Use that.

A4S will be a bit different on each player's parse too. Since not all ppl got quarantined at the same time.
