Steam trial, cannot add new service account?

Hi, incredibly frustrated here:

Started with a steam trial, decided to buy the game through the current humble bundle promotion, but the key cannot be applied to a steam trial account. So I have to start over. Sucks, I can live with it, whatever... so the instructions say to log into mogstation and hit "add new service account":

What the hell do I do here?

It's because you can't have more than 1 steam license on the same square-enix account. You need to make a new square-enix account.

The "add service account" button only appears once you have at least one valid service. Right now you have a trial account which doesn't count (bad website design?).

So like the above said, you need to create a new Square Enix account, but not quite for the reason they said :) (to the best of my knowledge you can have multiple Steam service accounts on the same Square Enix account, but I only have 1 Steam and 3 non-Steam on mine so I can't confirm that for sure, but there shouldn't be any reason why not as they're all separate accounts within the same parent account).

I appreciate the help but I could not manage to do it. I simply made a new squareenix account. It's so convoluted.
