Crystals question doing FATES as another class

Hey everyone, my AST and WHM are at 60 but I don't have the Zodiac weapons for them or whatever it is, just Zenith (unless I have that backwards). Anyway I've since switched to Scholar and may keep it as my main. I'm at 54 with SCH right now almost 55. I was just wondering, am I able to accept the Soul without Life quest as AST or WHM, but then do FATES as my SCH and collect crystals, then when I hit 60 abandon the quest and start it as SCH? Or would abandoning it automatically throw away all the crystals I got? Just curious as I'll be doing a lot of FATES to level my SCH so be nice to kill 2 birds!

Yes, you can earn crystals from FATEs regardless of which class or level.

I started the quest as a WHM. Did fate as a lv 50 BRD (as well as other jobs when I got bored) and got crystals. Nice way to level up alt jobs while still earning crystals at the same time.
