Jumbo Cactpot

Mini-Cactpot is 3x per day now. It's about time that Jumbo Cactpot was more often too. How about 1x per day? That seems reasonable. Besides, didn't SE say that they were going to let us play the Jumbo more anyhow? When is that going to happen?

There are achievements locked behind winning the Jumbo and the odds are 1 in 10,000. Even at 1x per day it would take almost 30 years of playing every day to win the jackpot (on average). I realize that the expected value with the other prizes is like a whopping 400 MGP or so (I haven't done the math and don't have the payouts right in front of me) but that doesn't amount to much, so why hasn't SE done this yet?

Speaking of which... anyone know last night's winning number on Gilgamesh?

I'd love to have the Jumbo Cactpot more than once a week.

Honestly, I'd be fine if they cut the reward down and had it more often. Or at least have it say on Wed and Sat night.

I've been there. It sucks. I wish they'd run the Jumbo Cactpot like state lotteries. There are various ways to win with your number - the easiest way pays the least, though. http://www.palottery.state.pa.us/Gam...izes-Odds.aspx It makes more sense and the drawing would be more fun each night.

How about just adding new tiers to the Jumbo cactpot payout so it doesn't require you to have 4 numbers in order? There is currently a 90% chance each week that nothing interesting will happen. ISN'T IT EXCITING?!?

Make it like horse betting. You get a prize for guessing the correct numbers, but the prize will be bigger if you guess them in the correct order. It's a way better chance of something happening.

When you consider that the current 1% chance weekly payout is the same as the jackpot for mini-cactpot (which I have received 3 times in a single day), do you actually think buffing the jumbo cactpot into something more consistently rewarding would be a balance problem?

It's things like the Gold Saucer that make me wish that developers who decide on rewards, tournament formats, game rules, etc, had the same love and care for their craft as the developers who handle art and sound design. The Gold Saucer looks amazing, sounds amazing, and generally feels like a place I want to enjoy. But then you realize the mini-games are barren of human players, full of restrictions, and have components that cost way too much of a currency they they are afraid to give you in reasonable quantities.
