...and it should totally be a thing for FFXIV. Dear SE, can I please have 3D printed figures of my MNK and BLM? Apparently a department in your company already has a deal with a 3D printing company. Make it happen?

There was an old thread not long after launch that ran for over 20 pages on this very subject (found here, and SE replied that they are actually considering just such an idea (naturally nothing has been mentioned lately, but this sort of thing is a complex topic and thus can't be rushed):

So yeah, although nothing is confirmed, SE are aware of it and may in fact make it a reality! I would love to have a little figurine of Enki in her current PLD gear on my desk next to my Midgardsormr figurine from the Heavensward Collector's edition. ^-^
