50% Complete, -50% Subscribtion fee?

Heyo folks.

Think this will be my first post here ever. Maybe 2nd...
Oh well, I was just thinking about this subscribtion stuff, that seem to be exploding on forums everywhere.

But I thought, why not only charge us half the price until 2.0?
Afterall, Yoshi-P. did say they are about halfway with the game.
Heck, maybe i 6 months, make the fee 75% of the full price maybe.

I must jump on the wagon with others here, and say that SE will probably lose many players to SWTOR, GW2 and Tera Online when they hit.

Just me half a gil on the subject.

Maybe just people which wouldnt have paid in first place and wouldnt have play FFXIV at all, when it would have been P2P since release! Think about it.. not everyone plays it cause its a FF, there are people which plays it cause its F2P. And those are the people which would join SW, GW2 and Tera no matter what happns in FF. So loosing players which wouldnt have play in a P2P anyways, wont really hurt SE. Those are just additional Players which make use of the F2P while it lasts.

nothing is confirmed so wait for the second producer live which he will answers questions, i doubt that they gonna 50% or even 75% for that matter.

People are going to "jump ship" to those other games, regardless if Final Fantasy XIV has a subscription fee or not. It is possible to play multiple games at once.

SE is trying to make some profit to fund for 1.21+ and seeing how 1.21+ are big change to the game it a good way to fish out players who wont really play the game Right now and make good topics.

i had a thread about this earlier, people are just too much of defenders of FFXIV to see that it seems like a good idea to charge less for a game that is clearly not out of "beta" yet.

If it's not ready then I don't see why anyone would pay for half-@$s€d anything really. They haven't kept any of the promises they made to us customers. Until those goals are reached I'm not going to keep paying for a game that just has copy pasted leves and wowraids instead of real content like every other FF title.

More like Alpha imo. 1.2 Would upgrade the current form to beta, I think from what I hear about it.

The funniest part is going from a subscription to a "reboot" phase, which is only called "reboot" on PC, when in reality it's a beta for the new version.
