So like, houses were demolished and stuff. What was your experience?
I was standing at the retainer bell near my personal house just hanging out and suddenly like 1/3 of the ward went poof'd. There were like maybe 12 houses up, including 2 larges I believe. They were all bought in less than 5 or so minutes.
I wanted to run up to some of the signs just to see what they would go for. I already had one so it's not like I was gonna snipe it, but if anyone was nearby, they bought it before I could get to the sign. :P If you bought one, what did it go for on your server? I asked one guy that bought a medium and he was nice enough to tell me and said it was about 33mil. Did houses really go for that cheap? It seems they aren't going up for their full original prices. It seems they are coming up at like maybe a depreciated price. I mean that's fine of course, just unexpected. Like I think originally a medium on my server was around 44mil when housing came out.
I'm rather surprised with all the sudden interest in housing lately. The only reason I even bought the house I did was like, I saw all these nice plots during 2.0 that were empty for like months (in a subward) and thought I'd work hard and earn enough to buy it. For like 2-3 weeks I kept all my retainers full with stuff to sell and eventually had enough. I demolished my smaller house I had (I was so sad! Hardest thing I've done in this game. ; ; ) The empty plot I was wanting was still empty so I spent like every dime I earned and got it. I was so happy! Now it seems that money isn't worth so much. Like I could go earn the amount I did in 2.0 in over 3 weeks in like maybe in a week if I worked hard.
How it works now is so surprising to me. During 2.0 I got used to seeing empty plots for months that no one would bother trying to buy. Now people hang out at plots to just see if they will go poof and hope for the best. Are there maybe more people playing than before or are like people just richer? I imagine what seemed like a lot of money during 2.0 is probably "chump change" now.
I really have always loved my house and hang out there most of the time I'm online while I chat with people and wait for roulette queues and stuff. I'm glad some people will get to enjoy that now too that didn't before. Congrats to new housing owners!
