Bot prevention measures?

I got to thinking recently, Balmung (and a few other servers) seem to have an issue with bot populations (and also bot spamming of new characters) which makes it difficult to make new legitimate characters on those realms (people don't really like having to make a character and wait three days to migrate)

So here's what I'm thinking. Software keyboard captchas on the character creation screen, input via the software keyboard ONLY so you can't macro spam the characters in, meaning real players get a look-in on being able to join their friends on the realms of choice.

Randomised key software keyboards should be fairly easy to impliment (after all, the old type DELETE to delete seems fairly straightforward) and would at least serve to hinder the ridonkulous amounts of spam that macros can do, after all it's merely numpad 0 to blast through the creation screen with a few other keypresses to select a class. finding a way to break macros like that would be good, no?

They could station a GM at the beginning of every major city around the clock on every server. When you see jsolhglkd slkhsa;hg spawn from just being created the GM instantly bans/deletes it.

Sure its a bit of man power but why not?

Could also give us a quick way to report bots who send /tells with the rightclick of a name. When one character gets enough it reports it will get an automatic /tell ban for 24 hours and in that time a GM will review that character to make sure its a bot then appropriately handle it.

You can file a report by using the in-game command [System Menu] -> [Support Desk] -> [Contact Us] -> [Report Cheating]
It is not hard and a response is usually really quick. Telling you to black list them....

But a captcha after a certain number of tells to different people would be nice.
