LORD ERRANT PATH COMPANION PROBLEM!

I have read a few posts about this, I am having a severe problem.
During lord errant, at the point where you either try to fight those posessed guys, or wait and try to parley and fight the amal'jaa, either way, before i have time to react and provoke, my path companion gets hit and killed in one shot. I tried to buff him up protect, stoneskin beforehand, still dead one hit. I have no time to turn around when the amal'jaa come to try to stop them, i even brought in 2 people to help, still dies. HELP????

I'm actually having this exact same problem. I started a new Mi'qote Character who is going full DoM. I have the Lalafell GLA companion and from what I can gather of my 12 attempts of this is that, for whatever reason Path Companions in Lord Errant are loading as an extreamly low level. My path companion hits for 0 or misses. and as soon as the Mages or Amal'jaa use Shadowfall, I instantly fail the mission as my path companion somehow gets 1 shot for anywhere from 350-450 damage.

Having done this quest already I know this isn't supposed to be the norm. The path companion should be at or around your level so that he can actually "participate" in the fight.

I sent in a bug report to hopefully see If they can investigate. My guess, they borked the quest post 1.19 since it has some data relating to ifrit. If a dev is reading, please investigate~

Having the same problem. Companion doesn't even have the enemy's attention but still gets one shotted every time.

I think the problem probably is that the path companions level is set at lv 38, but the monsters adjust to your level instead. So in other words, Im at lv 41, the monsters are too, and my poor companions getting womped on by mobs that are 3+ levels higher than it. This needs a fix quick!

Seriously. Same thing just happened to me. Its ridiculous. One time my companion was probably 50 feet away and got one shotted. I've tried this mission about 30 times now, its just getting insane. If the little moron known as my companion wasn't there I could fly through it, but he's just there...holding me back. ha. I also am level 41, a pug though. No idea what to do now.

i dont think these mobs scale to your level, i tried the quest right when i got it, failed it (npc got one hit), leveled up to 50 lnc and went back and tried again earlier today. ended up one hitting all three of them with doomspike.
