Can we have toggable chocobo music?

I wake up, do my morning routine, sit down at my desk with a glass of orange juice, log in and head outside Ul'dah to do some leves. I begin indulging in the serene music and then suddenly...

DUN DUN DA DA

So could we possibly choose to turn off chocobo-specific music when riding one?

I have a solution for you, toggle off of your chocobo and walk for the serene background music.

Sarcasm aside, I don't really see it being that big a issue. I mean if your really that hard pressed you could turn the game music off and play the areas OST or something...

I kind of like the chocobo tune it's catchy :D

Or they could just add a toggle for it, which makes more sense.

Besides, the game crashes when you alt-tab, this isn't possible.

I agree.
The Chocobo song is nice, but I'd like to hear the background music now and then as well. Being stuck with the Chocobo theme seems like an odd sacrifice trade for faster travel.

It's not really a big issue though. Just a suggestion if they can get to it.

Okay, seriously, who doesn't play in windowed mode?

I play in emulated fullscreen using Gamers Window Relocator. I also play with all my sound off and XM Radio on, so... I'm out of the loop :P

The people who don't want to see borders and things off-screen by trying to fit a window to the screen. Also, all games run better in fullscreen than windowed.

But yes, it's something that should be added at the game at some point. I feel it's a very big deal but not one of any immediate importance.

That is correct.
But yeah gramul you have a point there. Sometimes a change of music would be nice.
Like when you just died and have to walk back to your leve location..
The happy song should not be happy :D
I liked all the musics so far but not the one with the summer event..
That song annoyed me sooo much lol :D

While I do agree that it'd be awesome to be able to alt-tab from full screen, I don't have the border problem for my windowed mode. I align it just so I don't see any borders at all. Just play around with it.

On topic: I think, if anything, Coerthas should ban chocobo music altogether and let me enjoy its sweet, sweet sounds.

The only place where Chocobo music shouldn't be allowed is Coerthas.
