Name some little things that make you smile in this game. I'll start:
1. There's an incredible number of references to Lalafells being eaten tucked away in item, fate, and leve descriptions.
2. The starlight festival has cute snowmen hidden in every nook across Eorzea, and brings seasonal snow and npcs.
3. The Miqo'te children npcs with stubby tails that can be seen idling about from time to time.
Apkallus make me smile. They're so cute.
Also the stars...and most of the environment.
When the weather changes from rain to sun some places get rainbows for a short period of time.
Snow falling. I dont know why, but it makes me happy! And now its falling in the housing area again! Woohoo!
I once had a friend to log on just as I was zoning into an instance, and when I went to exchange a quick greeting to him in fc or ls chat (can't remember which now), I miss-typed "How's it going?" into /p chat instead and got a couple responses. Was a pleasant, friendly dungeon run. :)
I've done it a couple times since just for the heck of it. :3
The forums.
Lalafels, especially Tataru.
Random community events like 100 people dancing sundance in Idylshire, sitting on Fat Chocobos or Roegangs in swimsuits.
Carbuncle's run! *boing boing boing*
Finding awesome people to sit with and generally fool around with. Sometimes its more enjoyable than actual game content.
The mackerel slap attack that an Apkallu does always gets a smile out of me, especially that Bloody Mary B hunt doing one.
