I was wondering why I can't use ventures or even company points to help my chocobo level. Just another option on top of feeding him a carrot every hour and completing his challenge every week. As much as I like sending my retainer out if I could send my chocobo out for exp vs my retainer I'd probably chose my chocobo until it was max at least.
