Why no diadem/pvp hook for current relic quest ?

Since the spirit of the new relic quest "Coming into its own" seems to be getting progress on the relic using all the game has to offer (dungeon, craft, hunt, dailies, roulettes, etc.), why isnt there an option to spend wolf marks(pvp) or sky pirate coins (diadem) to obtain quest material ?

I would like to be able to spend wolf marks or sky pirate spoil in order to gain progress on my relic weapon quest.

Gotta agree here. I'm kinda surprised there wasn't some inclusion of Diadem in the relic quest at all considering it's newness and including PvP as an option... keyword here option.... would have been a nice way to revitalize it a bit. Kinda disappointing to see the wasted opportunity here.

Nah.. SE would rather make you do old content. Apparently waiting around for a FATE for 1 hour+ for 1 beast tribe token out of hundreds that you need is considered fun.

Thats why i never do the beast tribe fates, except when they are up when i am near. In the hour you wait for the fate to pop you can get 10 runs on alex in giving you a one of the 80 items.

The Anima weapon does require Diadem to complete, the 1 star gathering nodes and fish specifically in Diadem are needed for the crafts.

However, I know many people, including myself, hoarding spoils in the expectation that they might play a role into the Anima weapon. While I am still expecting implementation for Diadem, I see it requiring Grade V materia which can be farmed for rather than SBed.

In addition, previously there were some posts complained ppl farm "light" in frontline and ruin their pvp fun as these ppl not joining PvP for PvP ^^;
So those posts requested not giving light from pvp, therefore I will say this is "those players" requested no pvp hook for current relic quest.

Probably because SE admitted in the live letter that they totally screwed up.

They basically outright admitted that the current weapon item levels (especially Savage) were a mistake (thus resulting in the Anima weapons ridiculous and poorly thought-out grind), and that the Diadem's utter lack of rules or forethought was also a mistake (resulting in a mindless grindfest instead of actual exploration). So, naturally, they followed it up with more mistakes.

PvP players in particular have been begging SE to allow them do do anything with their Wolf Marks for a long time now (like, a year or more) and have even offered several suggestions on how to deal with any problems (including casual farmers), but they still haven't implemented anything.

I used all of them for desynth... ^^;
Btw it reminds me recently someone requested to add some pvp potion(like tp recovery) and the Community Rep has replied!

That's true! I totally forgot... Though, I hate to say it but the Rep's reply was very telling of how often (or not often) they actually read the PvP forums. The Tp regen item request has been in the PvP forums for months in several different threads, and was requested by several different people before we finally got a response. I'm glad they finally took action though. Better late then never, right?
