Nighttime Visibility

I am severely nightblind, and when it is nighttime ingame, I can't see much of anything. Adjusting the brightness doesn't seem to help. My idea is that you could allow players to carry some sort of lantern when they are out adventuring to improve visibility.

i can see fine on night, not sure if you have color blind or not.

No I'm not colorblind, I'm nightblind. I cannot see without a light source. Many people don't have this problem, but enough people do so a lantern or torch would be nice.

The light settings at night are very severe, I might as well be playing Silent Hill. I can't see a thing at night ingame when the sun is shining in my room.

solution: stop being cheap and buy yourself eye glasses

Your reply only shows your ignorance. Eyeglasses can't fix nightblindness. Night vision goggles could perhaps, but not for this game. Unless they allowed you to equip night vision goggles. Also, I think Moonkeepers and duskwights should be able to see better at night.

I have the same problem during thunderstorms at night, especially in Gridania..okay, pretty much ONLY in Gridania.
But it adds to the athmosphere, so I like it:)

I have seen where a lot of people have requested more darkness and this is the first time I've seen a thread for this. I also have a hard time seeing when its dark out and couldn't understand why people wanted it darker. I too would like something where I could see in the dark.
