[Patch 3.15] Mac OS X El Capitan Freezing Regularly

Hello! So after my recent struggles trying to get FFXIV: Heavensward to play on my iMac due to the bug going on with the Yosemite version, I upgraded to El Capitan. While I have my own gripes about this new OS (it's noticeably slower and clunkier than Yosemite among other issues) I was playing just fine until I encountered a certain bug while in Revenant's Toll twice now.

It happened once when I teleported into the zone, and another time when I interacted with a quest NPC (one of the Domain children for a lvl 54 quest.) The bug causes everything to freeze. The cursor can still be moved around, but I am unable to exit to the desktop. I have been forced to manually shut down and restart my Mac as a result. The game is totally unplayable due to this and it's become another reason into me wanting to cancel my five year long subscription. I hope this issue can be resolved soon!

OS X El Capitan
Version 10.11.2

iMac (21.5-inch, Late 2012)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5
Memory: 8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Startup Disk: Macintosh HD
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 640M 512 MB

After doing a fresh install, I'm still encountering this bug. This time it happened AS I was logging into the game.

I am beyond irritated at this point and if the issue isn't resolved soon I'm just going to have to unsubscribe.

I turned the graphical settings to standard after the last occurrence, and this time the game actually went and started... to a black screen with music playing in the background. Still frozen.

Exact same problem here. My crashes even look like your screenshot photo. Very frustrating and unplayable.

I tried a full reinstall. I tried lowering my graphics settings. Started Tuesday after 3.15 patch.

I know it's Sunday, but I'm really frustrated about this. Is there anything I can do other than post here and send bug reports on SE's website? I can't really make a ticket in game since I can't stay connected very long.

I'd try another fresh install if anyone has a link to the mac download?

I doubt the fresh install will help, since I'm still experiencing the same issue.

It might if my files are corrupted or something? But I can't even find WHERE to download the mac version from again. Very frustrating. :(

I am starting to also get random freezing and if I click my client it will give me and error to wait for it to respond or not. :/ What the heck? Started after 3.1 patching.

I was hoping the patch would fix the problem, but no luck. Still crashing regularly.

I still can't even load into the game. Just a black screen. The fact that we still haven't seen a response is extremely annoying.
