I need that promotion for all the Seals i've gotten you

Just wondering if we'll ever advance through the ranks of the Grand Companies. I've given them enough weapons, armor and materials to take over the Garlean Empire three times over while they do the bomb dance over the mangled remains of their ships. Can I now at least advance in rank?

They have the higher ranks already on their test servers, however they have also stated that they really want to make further GC progression 'meaningful' (no hints on what that means) and won't advance us further until it can be more than just a way to get new items or as a token divider for the current PvP system.
