Hey all. Since the old beast dailies are now involved in our relic quests, people are going to be doing them again. Some of them involve specific FATEs, right?
Well, I've just waited over an hour for the "What a Boar" FATE (Sylph quest). It hadn't been up once in the entire time I've been in East Shroud today, so I'm thinking there's some issue, especially since it's one of those FATEs to have an artificially boosted spawn-rate.
Anyone else have a similar story?
After getting that same FATE quest two days in a row now, I have to agree that something has to be done, its activation rate is absolutely ridiculous.
Seriously! I been waiting forever for this FATE. Why is it that other FATEs can spawn 3-4 while still waiting for this one?
The wait time for Quenching the Flame is ridiculous as well. If they propose these dailies as a method for the new relic, can't they adjust the spawning rate?
I can deal with it being an Atma FATE, but this is a bloody daily quest requirement.
Sharknado seems fine, though.
Came on the OF to post something about this and saw this thread! I've been waiting today for about an hour for the Boar FATE as well. It's very annoying considering this is one of the ways to obtain Anima tokens.
The issue is though, these FATEs tied to dailies had been made to spawn more frequently in past hotfixes. So it's either that something was messed up in 3.15 and the condition was lost in amongst some other FATE coding ... or that they now have deliberately extended spawn intervals. I honestly do hope it isn't a purposeful change though.
One thing you can do is to participate in these FATEs whenever you don't need them. Since they all drop an item, you can just do them if/when you see them up and save it for the next time you're tasked with that specific FATE. They do stack too, so you can farm a bunch of them in advance. Every little thing helps, no?
(Currently entrenched again at "What a Boar" with a group of other people. It's definitely an issue.)
The beast tribe related fates have always been very slow. The Novus book fates were increased and as a few of these crossed with the beast tribe ones it made it look like they were all as fast as Novus. Others were overlooked during the increase. Sadly, even pre-3.0 the Sylphlands fates could take ages, especially Kafre. I seem to recall waiting for many hours with a few FC mates for it.
Every FATE is broken. lol SE needs to lighten the hell up on FATE grinding bullshit. Seriously! A game is not meant to be slave work, people actually has difficult lives tehy live and it's depressing. People get on a game to relax and try to enjoy shit. But how the hell can we enjoy anything when shit never drops? SE si full of themselves. <.<
Yeah I've been camping "What a Boar" for an hour today already...plus, the group is getting large waiting, so no one has a chance to make it if you aren't camped out for it. Pretty ridiculous. If they want the beast tribes to play a part in new relic quest fine, but do something about the spawn rates.

IMO they should remove the fate quests from the lv 48 quest givers entirely.
"what a boar" couldnt be more accurate then that.
