(My Baby Green) Jaded Jody - Is it just me or is this FATE a little ridiculous?

Well anyways, this boss is really OP, it's a boss for people in the high 20's and it's in Gridania in front of the Haukke manor.

Basically this thing has a bad breath attack with a range that lets it cross the pacific ocean and terrorize countries in Asia, and the cast time is really low for the range of the attack, even if I move diagonal in the direction of the boss (attack is frontal cone shape) I'll still get hit.

Basically the attack causes paralysis, a DOT that lasts more than 20 seconds, silence, it slows you, stops you from moving for the first few seconds, interrupts casting every 1-2 seconds, takes your firstborn child, etc.

I don't really think it's fair to have such a harsh attack have such a large range and short cast time, because if you get hit, you will die because the status effects will stick to you until you inevitably die.

Stack near her, run behind her to get away from the AoE. Pretty simple...

Well regardless the AoE is pretty op.

She's a NM Fate boss, she's supposed to be OP. Wait until you fight Cancer with only 5 party member and no healers.

Clearly you've never fought a malboro before - Bad Breath is their signature attack throughout the FF series and yes, it's nasty. However, you can either stun it when you see it being used, or simply avoid the AoE, and Jaded Jody is no exception.

Really, the only malboro FATE I refuse to do is the one with Capricious Cassie in the East Shroud, only because it's surrounded by tons of level 45ish malboros who will agro and make avoiding Bad Breath impossible. But Jaded Jody is pretty easy to deal with.

Ah that sheds some light on it, I can't stun since I'm a summoner but I guess it makes sense why getting hit by the breath means certain death.

2 summoner pets have stun(Lv.1 for ifrit, lv.40 for titan), use obey and hotkey their stun skill so you can order them to use it

Just stay in melee range of it and when it readies the AOE, just run through the monster to the other side.
