Why is maintenance on Tuesdays lately?

Starts right when I raid. Did something change and I missed it?

For the most part, maintenance is almost always over the period of Monday night through early Tuesday morning, most especially when they're appling a patch of some kind (which they are tonight). They seem to prefer for the servers coming back up to coincide with the weekly reset for whatever reason.

Oh, well that is a little odd then, oh well though its just one night.

It is really odd though. Tuesday night is a popular raid night, due to it being the reset day.

That *is* peculiar, in this particular instance. However, the last maintenance was on Sunday the 6th, and before that, Monday the 30th, then Monday the 24th, and so on. I think there was a hotfix patch on a Tuesday sometime in November but that's actually rather rare. And it's definitely rare for them to do a numbered patch on anything but a Monday (the only one in recent memory I can think of is the patch that introduced Red Scrips, which are tied to a separate weekly reset on Thursdays, and so the maintenance was set up to end with the beginning of that new period).

I didn't actually check the date when they announced it because they're so consistent about it.

I may of been mixing up the last hotfix with regular maintenance then.

It's not like there is a set day that maintenance happens. It's in the ToS that maint can and will happen at any given time. Just chalk it up and go outside for 6 hours.

On the other hand 日　時：2015年12月16日(水) 14:00より20:00頃まで in Japan, that's from Wednesday 2pm-8pm, a day later than the usual rig. It may possibly be because it's Christmas season, less people play at this period (in Japan at least). Even for my static, we went from 6 days a week to 2-3. I expect for that to drop to 0-1 in the last week of December. People have less time to play, so my assumption is, let people do what people do on reset day, since that's when people are the most busy. Then the next day, people can start their OMG THE NEW RELIC SUCKS threads the next day.

This makes me sad... I happen to have tomorrow off and was hoping to play some new content...
