Does the Rank 8 Vanu beast tribe quest feel off to anyone else?

I just completed the Rank 8 Vanu Vanu beast tribe quest and something feels off about it.

Does anyone else feel that the quest is incomplete or unnecessary?

Yeah, I was expecting something more for all that unpleasant daily questing... The quest logs weren't even finished either, I'm thinking this was tacked on because they wanted an even number rather than stay on 7.

Well, for those who did all the beast tribe quests there was a special quest line that rewarded you the 'Duman Eye' head gear. This also brought up all the involved tribe ranks to 8. Seems like Square wanted to keep things even between the beast tribes.

There are going to be more tribes added in future patches. Most likely we will see an ultimate quest for all 3.0 tribes like we did for all 2.0 tribes.

What happens at the end? I did not know that we had more quests, I just stopped as soon as I got the mount.

There's more? I wrote off the fact that I could still gain reputation with the Vanu after the Rank 7 quest as a glitch. Is it even worth going to Rank 8?

You get extra experience for your alts, but that' about it

I feel like if that's the case then they will do an "ultimate quest" for all the beast tribes of 2.0 and 3.0, if SE is keen on keeping things even.

If you still have combat classes to level it is a nice chunk of exp each day, but if you are like me and have them capped, Rank 8 is not worth it. You don't even get a new fish to buy that isn't craftable. We might get another sentai quest but probably not for at least a year.

Once you get the final 1730 reputation, Linu Vali has another quest which simply sends you to talk to her brother. This very short conversation which is pretty much another double rainbow meme reference ranks you up to Rank 8: Bloodsworn . Rank 8 only increases the amount of XP you get from doing the Vanu dailies again. It really feels tacked on as if someone planned out an 8 episode story and then was told that there needs to be a 9th when filming was finished.

By how much? I'm curious if I should even bother continuing to go out of my way and rank them up.
