The amount of Crysta you can buy had better match the monthly fee

I can see the racket now.

Monthly fee is $11 but you can only add Crysta in $5 increments.

Why can't SE just directly bill my card like in FFXI? Click and Buy is not an option.

they changed it for FFXI to buy specific amounts of crysta (FFXI players saw this same issues and made a huge racket) so they quickly changed it. Dont see why it wouldnt be the same here.

I agree. Little by little I'm actually considering to p2p for this game. But still, the billing system doesn't look too convincing.

so that left you with 100 crysta each month.....

ok so in 9 months you have a "free" month or you have extra crysta to buy other things..... I never saw the problem with it.

Why is the billing system like this? Why not just use paypal.. cash cards.. pay by phone.. pay by cash?

The issue is that in essence you are overpaying for 8 months in your example. That is why people do not like it. The remaining Crysta not used sits in the account and is mostly wasted money until it is used, and it is pretty hard to get your account to 0 again (without being able to buy set amounts), which at that point you would have used everything you paid for.

you still can't buy the exact amout of crysta for 11... tho they said it was comming

They haven't changed FFXI at all yet, both FFXI and FFXIV bill through the Square-enix account so they will be billed the same way. Exact amount crysta is coming soon though.

Exactly. This is why US as consumers hate this system and companies LOVE this system. In essence, they are making more money off of us in the long run. Unless you play for exactly 9 months and quit, or 18 months and quit, or 27 months then quit, etc.

Why does nobody actually take time to look at the website?

You can already use PayPal and Game Cards.... I use them for FFXI to help my LS members in china get their account activated.

"ClickAndBuy is evil!" has anyone actually looked at it? It works great for FFXI once you actually look into it, and if you click alternate options you clearly have a Paypal button....
